The Four Types of Buddhism

Shinran (1173-1262) is the founder of Shin Buddhism, the largest Buddhist tradition in Japan. In this lecture I examine Shinran’s view of the four types of Buddhism and how he arrived at the fulfillment of his life in Shin Buddhism. I also discuss the contents of the core teachings of Shin Buddhism.
